He is currently the President of the Accreditation Council Technology area.

Civil Engineer and Master in Seismic Engineering from the School of Engineering of Universidad de Chile, Post-Graduate in Seismology and Seismic Engineering, Building Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan. From 1974 to 2015 he was an academic at the Department of Civil Works at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, where he also held various executive positions such as, President of the Institutional Ethics Commission, Director of the Civil Works Department, Head of the Structures Section, Deputy Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. He is a member of several national and international congresses and conferences committees, among which we can mention: STESSA, ACHISINA and CONNECTIONS. He is currently a Board Member of the Center for Studies and Research in Infrastructure (CEII) and the Materials Testing and Control of Works Laboratory (LEMCO) of the Civil Works Department of Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María.

Ms. Claudia Altamirano

Biochemical engineer and master’s degree in engineering mention biochemical engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. She holds a doctorate in biotechnology from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. She is an academic at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, she has been director of the School of Biochemical Engineering and postgraduate director of the same university. She has been a peer evaluator for the accreditation of undergraduate and graduate programs and for institutional accreditation.

Mr. Marcos Chait

Electronic Civil Engineer from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Master in Electronic Engineering with a mention in Computers and Digital Systems. He has been a professor of the Electronics Department of Universidad Católica del Norte and the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering of the same house of studies. He has been the head professor at the School of Engineering of Universidad Católica del Norte Coquimbo Campus. He has held various administrative management positions throughout his performance at Universidad Católica del Norte. He has an extensive experience in linking with the relevant external environment and developing of joint projects. He has been external evaluator in national and international processes, with extensive experience in the development of accreditation processes.

He started his academic activity in 1975.

He is currently Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of Universidad de Chile, where he has held various positions in academic management as the Director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Economic and Administrative Director, President of the Academic Hierarchy Committee and Coordinator of Master’s Programs in Mechanical Engineering Sciences, and Doctorate in Fluid Dynamics, among other series of works. He started accreditation work as evaluation peer in 2004 for a governmental agency. As an evaluator of Acredita CI, CNA and ARCUSUR for careers and master’s degree programs, he has participated in training for peer reviewers, instances developed by the Agency. He has led teams for the development of processes of self-assessment of careers and Master’s Programs. He has been member of the Board of Acredita CI since 2016, and taken part in the decision making of most of the accreditation processes since that date. He is responsible for conducting several FONDECYT projects and author of about 60 papers published in ISI and Scopus journals and in Proceedings international Conferences. His main field of academic work is Thermal Sciences and Engineering. The h-index of his research output is 11.

Mr. Luis Quezada

Industrial Civil Engineer, Universidad de Chile, Master of Science in Advanced Manufacturing Systems, University of Nottingham, England and Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management at the same University. Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Santiago of Chile, Chile. He has been in this Department since 1994. Since 1983, he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate in the area of Industrial Engineering, leading research projects being the latest topics developed in Manufacturing Strategies, Design of Strategic Maps, among others related to strategic planning. Author of ISI publications and participation in congresses of his specialty. He is Member of the Editorial Committee of the International Journal of Production Economics (WOS publication). He has been evaluator of a number of projects financing organizations of the Chilean Government. Since 2019, he is the President of the International Foundation for Production Research. Experience as an external evaluator in the process of accreditation of careers and master programs, as well as conducting self-evaluation processes.
